    How do I add a Register Now (or other text) button to my web site?


    Topic:

    I would like to add a "Register Now" or "Sign up now" button to my website (or email) .  How can I create this button?

    Solution:

    RegOnline has a number of pre-made and customizable buttons that you can add to your home page (or anyplace on your company’s web site). When you add the button to your web site, your site visitors can click the button to be taken directly to the registration start page (or Event Website) for your registration form.

    To add a button to your web page (or email):

    1. On the Events tab, click the Title of the desired event. The Events Page will appear.
    2. Click the Event Details link.
    3. Under the Additional Functions heading, click Button Designer.
    4. First, select the type of link that you want to use:
      • Button - This option will provide you with various button images that link out to your Registration form or Event Webiste. 
        Flash Widget - This option creates a Flash image or button that displays the event title, location, start date, and number of days until the event start date. 
      • Text - This option creates a hyperlink in text format that will take registrants out to your registration form or event website.
      • Inline form (iFrame) - This option provides you with HTML code that can be inserted into your own website to display the registration form in an embedded iFrame.
    5. Click Next to continue to the next page.
    6. Choose the destination page of the link:
      • Registration form - This will direct registrants directly to the Start Page of your event.
      • Event Website - This will direct registrants directly to the Event Website for your event.
        • See the related links for assistance with the Event Website.
      • Account Level Event Calendar - This will direct registrants to a calendar view of ALL Active events in your account.
    7. Click Next to continue to the next page.
    8. Customize the button or link that you have selected. This is only available for the Button or Link Text link type.
      • Link Text - Enter the text that you want displayed on the button or link.
      • Button Image -  Select the button type that you want to use.
    9. Click Next to continue to the next page.
    10. Select the Code below - Copy the HTML code provided using <CTRL C> on your keyboard, and provide it to your web master to include on your own website or email.

    Additional Information:

    RegOnline is not able to add a button to your web page for you (yes, we do get this question quite often!). You’ll need to give the web code to your web team to be added to your site.
