About the Bib Numbering Tool
The Bib Numbering Tool is used for races or similar events that will require you to generate and assign each registrant a unique race or bib number. You can use this tool to configure the range of bib numbers available for each of your registrants and assign them with a single click. You can set up multiple number ranges for each category of registrants if you are using Registrant Types in your event.
Field Definitions:
Event level - Use this first section to create a single range of Bib Numbers to assign to all of the registrants in your event. Each number will contain both a prefix and a suffix.
Prefix - Enter the first part of the bib number that will be used for each registrant.
- You can enter up to 5 characters (numbers and letters) in this field.
- For example: "A", "Race", "5K", "10K", "Men", "KIDS"
Starting Number - Enter the starting number that will be used for your bib number range.
- Enter numbers only. You can enter up to 7 numbers in this field.
- Numbers will be assigned in order by registration date using the first number entered in this field.
- For example: "100", "1000", "0001", "200"
By type - Use this section if you would like to assign different Bib Number ranges to your various Registrant Types. Any entry here will override the Event Level numbers entered above.
- For example: Lets say that you have Registrant Types or categories for a 5K race and a 10K race. You can use different prefixes and starting numbers for each Bib Number for each type, such as "5K-1000" or "10K-1000".
Assign - Click this button to save your entries and assign Bib Numbers to all of your registrants for this event.
Close - Click this button to cancel and return to the Manager window.
Additional Information:
Canceled attendees will not be assigned a Bib Number.
You can manually assign or change the Bib Number for any attendee after they have been assigned. Simply locate and edit the attendee's record, and then edit the personal information section.
