What is the difference between the various registration form types that RegOnline offers?

Solution:

RegOnline offers a number of different types of registration forms that you can use. These form types provide slightly different options that may be useful depending on the type of event or registration form that you may need.

Here is a list of the various form types and what they may be used for:

• Pro Events - This is the most common type of registration form. This is designed for events that take place at a given time and location such as seminars, conferences, training courses, expos, etc. Pro Event registration forms contain all features and functionality available in RegOnline. Pro Events cannot be downgraded to Express Events. Pricing Information
  


• Express Events - Similar to Pro Events, but with the exclusion of a number of powerful features. Review the chart below for a complete comparison between Pro and Express Events. Express events can be upgraded to Pro Events. Pricing Information
  
  
  
  
  
• Web Events - Otherwise known as webinars, these are events that occur online using a web conferencing provider. They do not have a physical location, but may require all of the setup features that are available in a regular Event registration form.
  
  
• Donations - The Donation form type is designed to setup a registration form to only collect a donation online. There are no location fields, lodging and travel features, or options to update an existing registration.
  
  
• Surveys - This form type is a simplified regsitration form used to get information from registrants. This form type is most commonly used to get feedback before or after an event has taken place. Surveys do not have the ability to charge registrants fees or take any form of payment. However Surveys only cost you $1 per registration (or completed survey) to use.
  
  
• Memberships  - A Membership registration form is a type of online registration form that allows you to create a persistent online form that can charge registrants (or members) a recurring fee and allows registrants to renew their membership each renewal period. This is used to create a membership database in your RegOnline account. See the Membership FAQ for more info...
