Topic:
What are the different event statuses and which one should I use?
Solution:
When you create a new event, it will be in Testing status. That means that you can work on it, enter test registrations, and so on, without accepting “live” data.
When your event goes live, you’ll be in Active status.
After your event is over, you’ll probably want to change the status of the event to something else. The list below details what each of these statuses is used for:
| Active |
Your event is currently taking “live” registrations. |
| Inactive |
The event is over and you do not want to process any more credit card transactions, but you’re still doing final reporting, etc. |
| Sold Out |
This event is full. This status checks the entry in the "Don’t allow more than [x] registrants” field in the Advanced tab. |
| Cancelled |
The event has been cancelled. The message that has been entered in the Status Info field will display when a user goes to your event registration page. |
| Testing |
You are still working on your event and entering fake data. |
| On-site |
This event is shut down to the general public, but you are still allowing registrations via an onsite kiosk.
Admin Register is also available. See the Related Links below for more info. |
| Update Only |
Attendees can still access their record, but no new registrations are being accepted. If your event is set up to not allow updates (located in the Registration Rules section on the Start page), attendees can access but not change their registration record. |
| Archived |
Set your past event to this status when you are completely finished with it; RegOnline will archive it forever (it will never be deleted). |
