Topic:
I’m adding information to my event using the HTML Content Editor. Can I copy and paste my text from Microsoft Word?
Solution:
You can copy/paste content from Word, but we do not recommend it as a lot of extra code is generated (by Word) that might cause formatting or display issues when the content is viewed in a browser. While the steps below are designed to help remove the extra, problematic code, we cannot guarantee the stability of any content copied from a Word document.
To copy your Word content into the Content Editor without the extra formatting:
- Just highlight and copy your text from Word
- In the HTML Content Editor click the Paste from Word icon
from the tool bar. This will paste your word content into the Editor without the extra formatting code.
- Images can not be copy/pasted into the HTML Content Editor. You will need to upload the image using the Image Manager. More info...
- Tables may not copy into the HTML Content Editor properly. You may need to create the table manually and copy/paste the content into each cell. More info...
- Click Save & Close to save your changes and exit the Content Editor window.
