What is the web address (URL) for my event? Can I change that URL?

Solution:

The web address (or URL) for your event will be www.regonline.com, followed by a forward slash (/) and whatever entry you make in the Registration Form URL field in the General tab of your event setup.

• Example: www.regonline.com/wirelessconference2008

To create a custom URL for your form:

1. Edit your Event and click on the Start page.
2. In the Registration Form URL field, enter the URL would like to use for your event in the textbox.
3. Click the Save & Stay button at the top or bottom of this window. The custom URL you have entered is checked in the RegOnline databases, and:
   • If it is available, it is assigned to your form,
   • If it is not available, you will see a message at the top of this window indicating that this URL is already taken,
   • If it is not a valid URL, you will see a message indicating that the URL contains invalid characters.

Additional Information:

• Keep in mind that your event URL will always start with www.regonline.com/. It is only the portion after the “/” that you can modify with a custom link.
  
  
• Note that the custom link you select needs to be unique in our system. For example, there can only be one custom link for the term ‘salesmeeting’.
  
  
• Any custom URL that is created for an event will be removed from the event registration form after the event has been in Inactive, Archived, or Deleted status for 90 days.
