Can I process credit card transactions offline?

Solution:

RegOnline is now PCI Level One security compliant -- that's the credit card security level most often found at financial institutions! -- and so we cannot process credit card payments offline. That means that you can do online credit card processing, you can allow your attendees to pay at the event (or other custom payment option), or you can set up your (online processing) event to not charge your attendees' credit cards immediately at the time of their registration. 

To set up a custom payment option:

1. Go into the setup for your event and click on the Checkout page.
2. In the text box on the last line of the Other Payment Methods section, enter the text you’d like your attendees to see (such as “Pay at the Event”, or similar) 
3. Check the appropriate boxes for Available To: Public, Admin, On-Site.
4. Click Save to save your changes.

You can then create a custom report to pull the information for all users who have selected this option, then contact them to get their payment information if necessary.

Additional Info:

Offline credit card processing option is not available for any events created after 8/7/06; events that were created before this date and were set to process credit cards offline will not be affected by this change.
