    How do I use the Merchandise page?

    Solution:

    The Merchandise section is designed to sell specific add-on items. For example:

    • T-Shirts and souvenirs
    • Tickets and passes
    • Donations
    • Percentage service fees
    It is important not to confuse Merchandise with Registration Fees.  When using Merchandise, please keep the following in mind:

    • If fee items on the Merchandise page are visible, they will be visible to all Registrant Types.  You cannot specify visibility properties for specific Registrant Types.
    • During a group registration, the Merchandise page will only be displayed once at the end of the registration process.  You will have no record of which individual(s) selected a Fee item on the Merchandise page.
    • A Group Discount Rule can not be applied to Merchandise items.
    • Selected Merchandise will never display on Labels or Badges.
    To add a Merchandise item:
    1. Edit your Event and click on the Registration Form Pages tab and then the Merchandise page.
    2. Check the box titled Display merchandise on the registration form.
    3. Click the Add Merchandise link.  This will open the Define Merchandise screen.
    4. Complete the fields on the Define Merchandise screen using the following guidelines:
      • Type - Select the Fee Type. You can choose a Fixed Price (default), Variable Amount (with optional minimum and maximum limits), Percentage, or a Section Header (no price).
      • Question/Description - Content that displays on the Registration form.
      • Title on receipt/invoice - Content that displays on registrants' records and/or receipt/invoice after they have registered.
      • Column name on reports - Name of the item that displays on your reports (this is the field name that is stored in the database).
      • Visible - Can be visible and required to ALL registrants or to NONE.
    5. Complete any other applicable fields. 
      • You can also enter your quantity options.  You can Hide Quantity (forces automatic quantity of "1") or enter optional minimum and maximum limits.
      • If you wish to make this fee an Multiple Choice item, scroll to the bottom of the screen and click to Add a New Multiple Choice Item, then complete the fields, then repeat until you have entered all your Multiple Choice options. For example - adding multiple t-shirt sizes.

    6. Save your changes when finished.
