How do I set up an Agenda Item / Fee so that the registrants are required to make a selection?
Solution:
You can set most Agenda Items / Fees to be required by your registrants, meaning that they must make a selection from the available options in that field.
To do so:
- Edit your Event.
- Click on the Registration Form Pages tab and then the Agenda page.
- Edit an existing Agenda Item / Fee or create a new one. This will open the Define Agenda Item / Fee window.
- Near the top of this window, in the General section, scroll to the section titled "Which types of registrants can see this question?"
- If you are using multiple Registrant Types you will see a list of your Registrant Types with two check boxes next to each one.
- Select both the Visible and Required checkboxes for the desired Registrant Types.
- If you are not using Registrant Types, you will simply see one checkbox for Visible and one for Required. Be sure to check them both.
- Save your changes.
Additional Information:
The field Type "Always Selected" is, by definition, always required. When using this type of field it will automatically be marked as Visible & Required in the setup for that item.
