Topic:
I would like to send a confirmation email (or some other email) to some, but not all of my registrants. How can I do this?
Solution:
The confirmation email can be enabled so that it is sent to every attendee that registers for your event. However if you want to only send an email to a select number of registrants, then you can simply disable this email and send it out from a standard or custom report in your account.
First you will want to disable the confirmation email (or any reminder/follow-up email) that you may have scheduled for your event so that the email is not sent automatically.
- Edit your Event and click on the Emails tab
- In the New Registrations section, clear the Email a confirmation to the registrant checkbox
- Save your changes.
Now you can copy the content of this email so that you can paste it into a RegMail Email Content for future use.
- Click the Email a confirmation to the registrant link to edit the email
- In the confirmation email content section, Highlight all the content and use Ctrl-C to copy.
- Click Save & Close to exit the email, Save & Close again to exit the Event Builder.
- Click on the RegMail folder from the folder list.
- Click the Content section.
- Click on the link to Create new Email Content.
- Enter a title and subject line for the email content.
- Click on the HTML tab.
- Paste the confirmation email you copied in step 1.
- Use Ctrl-V to paste.
- Be sure to paste in the content into the Text Only section as well.
- Click on OK to save your email content.
- Run your Attendees report (or any other report in your account)
- Select the Attendees that you wish to receive the email.
- Click on the Send email button from the bottom of the report.
- An email dialogue box will open.
- Select your email content you created in the previous steps from the drop down menu.
- Review the email and click Send.
