I understand that there are a number of different ways to set up registration fees for my Event. How do I know which way I should set this up?

Solution:

RegOnline offers a number of different ways to set up your Event registration fees, and the best way to set up your Event depends on the specifics of your pricing structure. The most common pricing structures are outlined below, along with suggestions for how you can set them up for your Event.

If more than one of these situations pertains to you, follow the instructions outlined for each aspect of your pricing structure. For example, you may have early registration fees and different types of registrants. If so, use the instructions outlined in the second and third postings below.

I want to charge the same registration fee to everybody.

You can set this up using the Event Fee feature located on the Start page. Show me how...  

I want to charge a different registration fee based on the type of registrant.

You can create multiple Registrant Types and then set up different Event Fees for each Registrant Type. For example, you can charge your Members $100 and your Non-Members $150 to register for your Event. Tell me more...

In addition to my registration fees, I also have discounts and/or early-bird registration.

Every Event Fee (and Agenda Item) can be set up with various types of discounts. You can create discount codes, Early-Bird, and Group Discounts. You can also create additional charges such as Taxes and Late fees as well.

I want to charge a different registration fee based on the size of the group.

You have the option to create a Group Discount Rule that is specific to your needs. Once you've set up that rule, you can then apply it to all fees in your Event, or just to individual Event Fees or other fee items created on the Agenda page. Show me how...

I have a number of other optional activities that my registrants can select.

You can set these up as separate Agenda Items on the Agenda page. Agenda items can even be set up with fees associated with them. This is the best way to set up additional activites and optional fees. Click for details...
