How do I ask a Yes/No question on my registration form?

    Topic:

I would like to ask a question on my registration form that registrants must answer either Yes or No to.  How do I create this question?

    Solution:

You can create any question on your registration form by building a new Custom Field or Agenda Item (depending on where you want the question to appear). The best way to ask a Yes / No type of question is to create the item as a multiple-choice item (either a drop-down menu or radio buttons) and create your own multiple-choice items for "Yes" and "No".

To build a Yes / No question on your registration form:

    1. Edit your Event and click on the Registration Form Pages
    2. Click on the page that you wish to ask the question on
      • Custom Fields can be added to the Personal Information page or the Lodging & Travel page.
      • The Agenda page can also be used to create Agenda Items to ask questions of your registrants
    3. Click on the link to Add Custom Field (or Agenda Item)
    4. Fill in the following fields:
      • Name on Form (required) - Enter the text to display to your attendees on the registration form.
        • Example: "Do you plan on attending the banquet dinner?"
      • Name on Reciept (required) - Enter the text that you would like your attendees to see on their registration invoice or receipt.
        • Example: "Attending the banquet dinner"
      • Name on Reports(required) - Enter the text you’d like to display as the column heading on reports.
        • Example: "Banquet Dinner"
      • Field Type - select Drop Down or Radio Buttons
      • Visible / Required - If you are using Registrant Types for your Event, then the types that have been set up will display here in grid format with checkboxes for each type to indicate whether this type will see this field (Visible) and whether they will need to respond to this field (Required).
    5. Then click on the Add Multiple Choice Item link to add your Yes and No options.
      • Name on Form (required) ) -  type in the word 'Yes'
      • Name on Reports (required) - type in the word 'Yes' again
    6. Repeat step 5 for adding the No option
    7. Fill out any other fields or options for this item and Save your changes.

    Additional Information:

    None.
