About the Content Editor:
The HTML Content Editor is used to create most of the content in your registration form. You can use this tool to add hyperlinks, images, documents, and format your text using numerous other tools. This content will be converted automatically into HTML content that will display on your registration form.
Note: In order to see all of the available tools in the HTML content editor, you may need to click on the Switch Mode icon
<>
Information can be added to your Content Editor in two ways:
1. Create the content in the HTML Content Editor
2. Copy and paste content into the HTML Content Editor from an external source
- From HTML code:
- If you have created content in HTML then you can copy and paste in your HTML code directly into the Content Editor by clicking on the “< >” icon on the bottom of the Content Editor window. This will bring you directly to the HTML code for this section. To preview your HTML code, simply click on the edit mode (pencil icon) option at the bottom of the Content Editor window.
Additional Information:
To fix the formatting of information copied from another source and pasted into the Content Editor:
- We do not recommend copying documents created in Microsoft Word or similar programs.
- If the content that you have pasted in to the HTML Content Editor does not seem to be formatting correctly, then you may have pasted in some code that is not compatible with the editor, and you will need to strip it out.
- To strip out incompatible code, click the Format Stripper icon in the lower right corner of your Content Editor tools (looks like a short broom with a piece of paper). This will give you a dropdown list of options. The most common culprit is Span tags, so start by clicking that option. This will remove all Span tags from your document.
- PLEASE NOTE that stripping code may remove some formatting that you wanted. But, once you've stripped that code you can then use the tools built into the Content Editor to format the content again.
- If stripping Span tags did not fix your problems and allow you to manually format your text in the Content Editor, try the same steps with each of the other Strip Formatting options (All HTML Tags, Microsoft Word Formatting, Cascading Style Sheets, and Font Tags).
- After each change, Save your changes.
