    Manager - Activate window

    About the Activate window:

This window allows you to select the options you want when you change your registration form to Active status. When your form is Active, you are able to accept real or live registrations (as opposed to test registrations) and actual payments (if applicable) from your attendees. You will be charged by RegOnline for each registration based on the pricing option you select in this window.

Note: It is important to confirm that your registration form has been set up correctly before you set it to Active status. Be sure to review the Common Pitfalls to Avoid Before Going Live for some tips for reviewing and testing your registration form.

    Field Descriptions:

Step One - Activate Your Event

Select your pricing option - If applicable, select the appropriate pricing option for this event.

    • Apply pricing to all future events - Select this checkbox to make the price option selected above the default price used for all events activated in your account.

Please provide your billing information to activate your event (only visible if billing information has not been collected and saved in your account) - Enter all of the required billing information prior to activating the first event in your account.

Click the Activate button to proceed to the second step.

Step Two - Additional Activation Options

    • Remove test registrations – When selected, all test registrations are deleted from your event when you click the OK button.

    • Automatically change status for your event at a later date/time – When selected, this feature allows you to change your event status on a specific date, and display an appropriate message to your registrants.
      • Set status to – Select the new status for your event, such as Inactive. More about event statuses...
      • On (date/time fields) – Enter the date and time on which you want the status to change.
        • The time zone is determined by the time zone specified in the Event Basics section on the Start page of the Event Builder.
      • Display this message to registrants – Specifies the message to display to registrants on the Start page when the status is changed.
        • Example: “We’re sorry, but the registration period for this event has closed. If you have any questions, please contact us at 303/555-1212. We hope to see you at next year’s conference!"
    • Publicize my event – Select this checkbox to submit your event information to a number of web sites that list events, such as Google Base, Google Calendar, Eventful, Confabb, and Upcoming.org.
      • This is a great way to increase traffic to your registration form and promote your event for free. More info...
      • This checkbox is selected by default; you will need to uncheck this box to not publicize your event.
      • This checkbox displays in gray if you have already publicized this event previously for any reason. Once an event has been publicized, it can not be reversed.
