    Email Invitations Contact

    Contact Details -

The Contact Details page is where you can find, and edit, all of a contact's information. You can also find a history of Email Invitations sent to this contact, and a recording of each action taken by the contact.

    Actions -

    • Edit Contact - Edit the personal information of the contact.
    • Opt Out - Prevent the contact from receiving any future Email Invitations. Remember, once a contact has been opted out they cannot be added back to any Contact Lists.

    Contact Statistics -

    • Opened - Displays the percentage of received Email Invitations that were opened by this contact. For this number to be accurate your recipients must choose to view the images in your invitation.
    • Clicked - Displays the percentage of received Email Invitations that were clicked in by this contact.

The only clicks that are tracked are clicks on supported merge code links. You can add these links to your email content by either selecting the desired merge code from the Other Merge menu, or by typing the code itself directly into your email content. The supported links and their corresponding merge codes are:

      • Link to Register Page: /*RegisterLink: Click Here to Register for this Event*/
      • Link to Event Start Page: /*EventURL: Click Here for More Information*/
      • RSVP (Invitation): /*RSVP: Click to Respond*/
      • RSVP (W/ Undecided): /*RSVPU: Click to Respond*/
      • Confirm Registration: /*RegConfirm: Click Here*/
      • Tell-A-Friend: /*TellAFriend: Click to Tell a Friend*/
      • Link to PassKey: /*EventLodging: Book Lodging*/
      • Add to Calendar Button: /*Merge: AddToCalendar*/
      • Link to Invoice: /*Invoice: View Invoice*/

    • If you manually enter a link ("http://www.regonline.com/MyConference", for example) into your email content, clicks on that link cannot be tracked.

    • Registered - The percentage of received Email Invitations that this contact registered from by clicking the Link to Register Page inside your invitation, and then begin and complete their registration. If the recipient makes their way to your registration form by other means (from a link on your company's website, or a URL from a promotional flyer or mailing) they will not be counted as Registered in the Tracking Statistics. They will, of course, still be displayed as registered in all other reports.

Bottom line, if you would like to view the Registered statistic, you must include a Link to Register Page merge code inside your email content, and your recipients must click it to begin their registration.

To add a Link to Register Page to your email content:

      • Select Link to Register Page from the Other Merge menu located on the Content step. This will add the merge code into the body of your email.

        OR

      • Manually enter the merge code /*RegisterLink: Click Here to Register for this Event*/ into the body of your email content. When the email is sent, that code will be replaced with a link to your registration form.
