Innovative ways to use labels & badges to do amazing things

There are countless ways to use the Labels and Badges tool other than your average name badge. Since badges can be generated from any report within RegOnline you can get as specific as you need to for different groups of registrants.

This can be a great way to create:

    •    Certificates
    •    Diplomas
    •    Meal tickets
    •    Conference Agenda or Schedule
    •    Multi-purpose information sheets
    •    ___________

What are some of the creative and innovative ways that you have used the Labels/Badges tool for your event?

Re: Innovative ways to use labels & badges to do amazing things

I have only used this to print some basic name badges.  However I often have training seminars and require me to create Certificates.  What I have had to do in the past is to create the certificate in Word or Acrobat for each person.  But this makes perfect sense to set this up in RegOnline.  I'll have to go play with it...

Does anyone know what the image quality (DPI) limitations of this little program is?  I prefer to print images at around 300 DPI.

    Cheers

I have the same question as PBrock, above.  What resolution can we work at?

    Hello MadScience,

Welcome to the RUG! Geeked [8-|]

We have recently upgraded our Label's and Badges program to allow you to upload any resolution image that you wish.  This way you can now print a 300 DPI image on your badges to get much higher quality logos and images.

When you upload the image to the badge, they system will display a lower dpi image in the badge editor (since this is working inside a web page).  However when you print the label/badge, then the file is exported to Adobe Acrobat and the original DPI setting for the uploaded image is used.

I hope that this is helpful.

    Hi,

We're using labels & badges to print signed visa support letters (requesting visa support letters can be done by our registrants by ticking a box (a custom item in the Personal Information page of our registration form):

    1. Check for visa support letter (use custom report "Need visa support (not sent)")

    2. Change registration status from confirmed to “Follow-up

    3. Print Visa Support Letters for “Follow-up” registrants:

    -          Go to attendee report (e.g. in RegOnline Manager, click on total number of participants of our event)

    -          Filter on Registration Status “Follow-up”

    -          Select all attendees in that

    -          Print Labels (use label “Visa Support Letter”):

    4. (Sign &) send labels:

    -          By e-mail

    -          By snail mail (if needed / deemed better)

    5. Change status of “Follow-up” registrants to “Approved” (not to "Confirmed")
