I have a Membership in my RegOnline account and would like to integrate it with an Event registration form in my account. How do I set this up?
Solution:
One of the benefits of using RegOnline for both your Membership and Events is that you can integrate these two products together. This will allow you to validate your members before they sign up for an Event in order to give them extra benefits or display different information to them. This integration works by linking your Member Types in your Membership registration form to the Registrant Types in your Event registration form.
To integrate a Registrant Type to a Membership form:
- Edit your Event
- On the Start page, edit an existing Registrant Type that you wish to integrate to your Membership (or create a new one).
- In the Advanced Section, click on the link titled "Integrate with membership".
- Select your Membership registration form from the dropdown menu.
- Select the checkboxes for the Member Types and statuses which will be allowed to register with this Registrant Type.
- Save your changes.
Keep in mind that this will validate members registered in your membership form using the email address that is associated with their membership. However you can also validate or authenticate members using their Member Number. See the related links below for further assistance.
