Event Builder - Conditional Logic Setup - Select Multiple Items
About Conditional Logic:
Conditional Logic can be used on Custom Fields and Agenda Items to display certain items or questions based on the selection or answer of a previous item on the registration form.
- For example, if you wanted to display a question to registrants asking them what type of golf clubs they need, but only if they check a box indicating that they will need to rent golf clubs, then you can use the Conditional Logic features to set this up.
Each conditional display option has, essentially, two components; a Parent item and a Child item(s). The Parent item or field is the controlling item that determines whether or not the connected Child items will display to registrants. Parent items can only be setup using the field types Checkbox or Multiple Choice (radio buttons or dropdown menus). Child items will only allow you to connect to Parent items that preceed it in the list and have the appropriate field type.
One Child item can have multiple Parent items, so that the Child item will appear to registrants if they answer one Parent item or the other. Use this page to select the multiple Parent items that you would like to associate with this Child. More on Conditional Logic...
Field Descriptions:
Clear All - Use this button to clear all of the selected Parent items for this Child.
Select the appropriate Parent items - The items in this list are items that can be used as the controlling field or Parent item for this Child.
This list will only display items that:
- Are setup with the field type Checkbox or Multiple Choice (radio buttons or dropdown menus)
- Are not already connected to another Parent item (i.e. other Child items)
- Preceed it on the registration form
- For example: if you are working on a Custom Field on the Personal information page that is the 5th item on the list, then you will only be able to choose from items in the 1st-4th position on the Personal Info page
