There's no doubt about it: RegOnline's software makes event
planners' lives easier, but we're always looking for more ways to make events
more successful with less work.
To that end, we've developed a video series called 'Ask the
Registration Experts' to provide quick tips to improve events. Most of the topics are general enough to
apply to any event registration, not just those hosted with RegOnline, so pass
them on to your colleagues!
Here is the first video in the series, titled 'Creating
Irresistible Registration Forms' and featuring our president, Bill Flagg:

As some of you may know, last year we sent our President, Bill, to a panel at SXSW called Web App Autopsy. If you weren't able to attend or haven't read the coverage yet it was a very interesting panel, and you can find a complete recap at either of these links:
SXSW: Web App Autopsy Web App Autopsy at ParticleTree
We'd like to provide more insight into what we've learned after more than 10 years in business and Bill has volunteered to present again. This year SXSW has decided to select panels based on user votes.
If you'd like to see more great information like the above, head to the link below and vote for Bill's proposed panel (free registration is required to vote)!

If you frequent the RegOnline website, you might have noticed
a very exciting change this month: RegOnline recently received a rank of level
1 PCI compliance! This rank means that
RegOnline now offers all of our customers the highest level of security for
credit card and personal information!
As we are all highly enthused by this achievement, we
decided to ask bloggers to write about their thoughts on what such high
security means to them. So, to let them
tell you about it, here are the few we recommend:
Arkansas
- a Great Place to Live offers an anecdotal story about how RegOnline could
help you plan a large event with confidence;
On
The Hill lets everyone know about the possible devastating effects of a
security breach;
HerBulletin
~ Herb of the Week highlights how a higher level of security can ensure
that registrants will not be deterred when they have to enter their credit card
information;
And last – but most definitely not least – The
Occasional Editorialist wonders if people pay enough attention to
online security but stresses how important it is that companies such as
RegOnline are ‘taking the high road’ to offer higher levels of security because
most people will not take protecting their personal information into their own
hands.
P.S. If you would
like to know more about Level 1 PCI compliance, check out Acunetix –
web application security, or look for RegOnline’s ‘Unsurpassed
Security’ section.

We returned to the ever-interesting world of ‘blogs this
month to ask a few bloggers to write about some of RegOnline’s new pre-selected
themes and how they would feel about them as a registrant! Here are some of the reviews we loved this
month:
Nanette’s
Dog Blog highlights how easily the web page piqued her interest in the
conference, drawing her in to consider attending rather than merely reviewing the
page.
LittleBitInteresting
speaks of the advantage of the professional appearance of RegOnline’s event
sites for her upcoming event.
Beth and
Cory’s Mom enjoys the ease of many RegOnline features—such as confirmation
emails—and the organization of the event
websites.
Finally, Fly
the World speaks about the difficulty of planning an event without the help
of conference registration software and how nice it is that RegOnline takes
care of so many of the details that can bog down event planners.
Oh! And here are the
sites they looked at, just in case you want to check them out for yourself:
The
Wounded Heart Conference
And
MTC
‘07
And! Check out these
screen captures of some other great registration websites:
